The event took place at the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Shankarpur, where all 10 participating teams showcased their fresh looks. Gwalior will once again host the entire tournament, marking the second year in a row after hosting MPL’s first season in 2024.

The jersey unveiling was a grand ceremony attended by players, team officials, and dignitaries from across the state, creating a buzz of excitement and anticipation. Organized by the Gwalior Division Cricket Association (GDCA) under the MP Cricket Association, the men’s competition has expanded from five to seven teams, including new entries from Bundelkhand and Chambal regions.

This season will also see the launch of a Women’s Cricket League, co-occurring with the men’s matches. The women’s event will feature three teams, including one representing Bhopal, the state capital.

Talking about the league and the jerseys, Mahanaaryaman Scindia, the chairman, said, “The jersey unveiling sets the stage for an exciting season. The Madhya Pradesh League has become a celebration of regional talent and pride. This year, with league expansion and the introduction of women’s teams, we’re demonstrating our commitment to inclusivity and growth.”

GDCA president Prashant Mehta expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “There’s a lot of energy and excitement around Madhya Pradesh League Season 2. The teams’ jerseys embody their regional spirit, and we’re confident the league will deliver thrilling cricket and help discover new talent for the state.”

The men’s teams include Gwalior Cheetahs, Bhopal Leopards, Jabalpur Royal Lions, Rewa Jaguars, Indore Pink Panthers, Chambal Ghariyals, and Bundelkhand Bulls. The women’s teams are Chambal Ghariyals, Bhopal Wolves, and Bundelkhand Bulls.
