New Delhi: The Indian team has started practice ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The team sweated it out at the ICC Academy in Dubai on Sunday. The team’s first match in the tournament will be played against Bangladesh on February 20.
BCCI has shared videos and photos of the team’s practice. According to a PTI report, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was hit by a ball from Hardik Pandya during practice.

Hardik’s ball hit Pant’s knee
Pant suffered a knee injury during the practice session. Hardik’s ball hit Pant’s left knee on one of his shots. He groaned in pain, but physio Kamlesh Jain treated him immediately. After this, Hardik came out of the nets to check on his condition. Pant was in pain initially and was seen limping. However, the injury was not serious and after the physio treated him, Pant immediately wore pads and came to the nets to bat.
India’s first match will be against Bangladesh on 20 February
The Indian team will play its first match in the Champions Trophy against Bangladesh. This match will be played on 20 February at the Dubai International Stadium. The team’s second match will be against Pakistan on 23 February and the third match will be against New Zealand on 2 March.
India has been placed in Group A along with Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand. The two semi-finals of the tournament will be held on March 4 and 5. The final will be played on March 9.
