Jasmine Paolini becomes first Italian player to reach the Wimbledon final, to face Barbora in final

Jasmine Paolini has become the first Italian player to reach the final of Wimbledon. She defeated Donna Vekic 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 in the first semi-final of the women’s singles. The match lasted two hours and 51 minutes, which is also the longest women’s singles match at Wimbledon.

Now in the final, she will face Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic, who has reached the final of this tournament for the first time.

In such a situation, Wimbledon will also get a new champion in women’s singles. Krejcikova defeated 2022 champion Elena Rybakina in the second semi-final.
