Sahil Jaglan of Panipat won the gold medal in the freestyle wrestling competition in the 97 kg weight category by performing brilliantly. The competition was organized by the Indian Wrestling Association at Lovely Professional University Phagwara, Punjab.
Sahil performed well in all his matches. In the first match, he defeated Kunal of Chandigarh 10-0. In the second, he defeated Nadeem Ahmed of Jammu 11-0. In the third match, he defeated Abhishek of Uttar Pradesh 11-0. In the final, he won the gold medal by defeating Saurabh of Maharashtra 10-0.
According to Sukaram Jagran, the head of Hanuman Vyayam Shala of Israna, this victory will take Sahil towards the World Cup. Sahil has attributed this success to his coach Shukaram Pehlwan and parents.
