Dubai: ICC on Saturday announced the T20 Team of the Year for the year. 4 Indian players have got a place in this team. Rohit Sharma has been made the captain. Apart from him, all-rounder Hardik Pandya and fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh are also included in the team. Apart from India, no other country has got more than one player a chance.
Pakistan’s Babar Azam, Australia’s Travis Head and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan are also included in the team. A day earlier on Friday, the ICC had announced the Test Team of the Year and ODI Team of the Year. Three players from India got a place in the Test. The International Cricket Council releases the team of all three formats every year based on the performance of the players.
India won the T20 World Cup under Rohit’s captaincy
The Indian team won the T20 World Cup 2024 on June 29 under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. The Indian team defeated South Africa by 7 runs at the Bridgetown ground.
