In the second group of Super 8, South Africa is in first place with 4 points. After this West Indies is in second place and England is in third place. Both the teams have 2-2 points in 2 matches, although due to better net run rate, the West Indies are above England.

West Indies won the toss on Saturday at Kensington Oval Stadium in Barbados and decided to bowl first and bowled out USA for 128 runs in 19.5 overs. West Indies chased the target of 129 runs in just 10.5 overs.

Match Winner
The bowlers played an important role in West Indies’ victory. USA started the match well, but after the powerplay, Roston Chase pushed them on the backfoot. Chase took 3 wickets for 19 runs. He was chosen as the Player of the Match.

America’s innings
After losing the toss and batting first, America scored 29 runs from Andreas Gaus, 20 from Nitish Kumar, 19 from Milind Kumar and 14 from Ali Khan. Andre Russell and Roston Chase took 3-3 wickets from West Indies. Alzari Joseph took 2 wickets. Gudakesh Moti got one wicket. Milind Kumar was run out.

West Indies’ innings
Chasing the target, Shai Hope scored an unbeaten 82 off 39 balls for West Indies. This is his fourth T20 International half-century. Nicholas Pooran scored an unbeaten 27 runs. Johnson Charles was dismissed after scoring 15 runs. Harmeet Singh took the only wicket from America’s side.

There was an opening partnership of 67 runs between Hope and Charles. While Hope and Pooran added an unbeaten 63 runs for the second wicket.
