Paris: Wrestler Vinesh Phogat sent a heartfelt note of gratitude ahead of her return to India after the CAS dismissed her plea for a silver medal. She shared this letter on her X account. The CAS also dismissed her plea for a silver medal, a huge disappointment for the Indian contingent.

She also wrote a letter, expressing thanks to all the people who contributed towards her goal and were a part of her journey over the past few years.
Also, she thanked her support team, including Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala, Dr Wayne Patrick Lombard, Coach Woller Akos, Physio Ashwini Jeevan Patil, Tajinder Kaur, the Olympic Gold Quest team for their contributions.
Vinesh was shockingly disqualified hours before her final in the women’s 50 kg fight at the Paris Olympics 2024.
