    St. Kitts and Nevis Envoy Gurdip Bath Announces Opening of High Commission in New Delhi, Strengthening Bilateral Ties

    New Delhi: St. Kitts and Nevis High Commissioner to India, Gurdip Bath, on Tuesday announced the official opening of the country’s first resident diplomatic mission in India, marking a significant milestone in bilateral relations.

    First Diplomatic Mission in India Inaugurated

    Taking to social media, Gurdip Bath said, “Today, we officially open the High Commission of St. Kitts and Nevis in New Delhi, the Federation’s first resident diplomatic mission in India.”

    The move is seen as a major step towards strengthening diplomatic and strategic ties between the two nations.

    Commitment to Stronger Bilateral Ties

    Bath highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Terrance Drew and Foreign Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas, the focus remains on deepening cooperation and engagement with India.

    “I remain committed to building a stronger relationship between St. Kitts and Nevis and India,” he stated.

    Jaishankar Attends as Chief Guest

    The event was attended by India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, whose presence underscored the importance of the development for both countries.

    Bath expressed gratitude for his participation, calling it a reflection of the growing partnership between St. Kitts and Nevis and India.

    Boost to India–Caribbean Relations

    The opening of the High Commission is expected to enhance cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, and diplomacy, further strengthening India’s engagement with Caribbean nations.
