Nimabahera: After hitting the divider, the Scorpio car collided with a truck coming from the front. Four devotees travelling in the car died in the accident on Neemuch (MP)-Ajmer National Highway, while three are injured. The people travelling in the car were going from Ujjain (MP) to the Sanwalia Seth temple in Chittorgarh. The accident took place in the Nimbahera area of Chittorgarh on Sunday night at around 10:45 pm.
Nimbahera Deputy SP Badrilal Rao said- The accident happened near Jaliya Check Post (Rajputana Hotel). The speeding Scorpio went on the wrong side after hitting the divider. The truck coming from the front hit the vehicle. All the devotees were residents of Ingoria village of Badnagar in Ujjain. They were going to visit Sanwalia Ji. In the accident, Sanjay alias Sanju (42), Gaurav (32), Anil (18) and driver Rajesh alias Raja Chaudhary died on the spot. All of them were relatives.
The three injured were admitted to the hospital.
The injured include Deepak (39), son of Ramesh Depal, Yogesh (20) son of Nilesh and Sunil (28) son of Prahlad. All are residents of Ujjain. The injured were taken to the government hospital in Nimbahera by ambulance, where they are undergoing treatment.
Deputy SP Badrilal said- Police had restored traffic by parking the Scorpio on the side of the road in the night itself. After receiving the report from the family, the bodies will be handed over to the family after postmortem.
Injured Deepak said- I was going to visit Sanwalia Seth with my brother-in-law Gaurav, brother-in-law Sanjay alias Sanju, brother-in-law Sanjay’s son Anil, Sunil, Yogesh from the village and Scorpio driver Rajesh. The car collided with a truck 40 kilometers before the temple.
