Stay on Khan Sir’s arrest; Patna Court grants major relief

Khan Sir, the renowned educator and director of Khan Global Studies, has received significant relief from the Patna Civil Court regarding the firing incident. While hearing his anticipatory bail plea, the court stayed his arrest. Earlier on Monday, the anticipatory bail petition had been filed on Khan Sir’s behalf in the court of Patna’s Principal District and Sessions Judge, Rupesh Dev; his lawyer, Arvind Kumar Mauar, had moved the application. It is noteworthy that Khan Sir faces charges under serious sections, including attempted murder and the illegal use of weapons.

Hearing on Regular Bail for Security Personnel
A hearing also took place on Monday regarding the regular bail pleas of two of Khan Sir’s security personnel—Deepak Kumar and Talebar Singh—who are currently incarcerated in connection with the same case. Their lawyer, Arvind Mauar, presented arguments in the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class Anurag Verma. During the proceedings, the court directed that evidence related to the case be produced.

Court Seeks Case Diary
In the matter concerning the firing incident and the dispute between coaching institutes, the court summoned the case diary and the injury report from the police. The two arrested security personnel are currently lodged in Beur Jail under judicial custody. Arguments were also presented by lawyers from both sides regarding the regular bail plea of ​​Roshan Anand, the director of Gyan Bindu Academy, in the same case. Following the court’s directive, the police submitted the case diary and injury report. After hearing detailed arguments from both parties, the court reserved its order on Roshan Anand’s bail plea.

Case Registered Based on Viral Video
A video of the firing incident near Faisal Khan’s coaching institute had gone viral on social media. Based on this video, the Kadamkuan police registered a case (Case No. 418/2026) against Faisal Khan (alias Khan Sir) and his two security personnel under various sections of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and the Arms Act.
