Steel-Cement trader Praveen Saini shot in Rohtak by unidentified attacker

On Saturday morning, around 9:30 AM, near Sukhpura Chowk in Rohtak, a young man shot and fled after attacking Praveen Saini, a cement and steel trader. The assailant fired three or four shots; however, Praveen sustained only one bullet injury. He has been admitted to the Trauma Center at PGI.

According to the police, preliminary information reveals that Praveen Saini (32), a resident of Prem Nagar Chowk, owns a shop named ‘Rajlakshmi Cement and Steel’ located on Gohana Road, opposite Dalal Bhawan, near Sukhpura Chowk.

Around 9:30 AM, Praveen was sitting at his shop when an unidentified young man approached and fired three to four shots and fled the scene. It has been confirmed that Praveen was struck by a single bullet.

Question on law and order in the city 

Upon hearing the sound of gunfire, locals from the surrounding area gathered and immediately rushed the injured victim to the PGI Trauma Center. This broad-daylight incident has once again raised questions regarding the state of law and order in the city. The police at the Old Sabzi Mandi station are currently investigating the crime.

To apprehend the assailant, teams from CIA-I, CIA-II, the Special Detective Staff, and the Old Sabzi Mandi police station are conducting raids. Family members have stated that they have no idea who shot Praveen Saini or why.
