Strict ban on carrying firecrackers or explosives; 4 special trains start ahead of festivals

Ludhiana For the convenience of passengers coming and going from neighboring states for important festivals like Diwali and Chhath Puja celebrated across the country, this time too, like every year, the Indian Railways Department has started special trains.

The Railways has started this service to go and come from Punjab to Patna, Saharsa, Katihar and Sitapur. For the passengers going to celebrate the festivals, about 12 trains have been started by the Ferozepur Division of Northern Railways, including Chhapra, Amritsar Katihar Up and Down.

Due to the renovation work of Ludhiana Junction Railway Station, a large building of the station towards platform number one is under construction after demolition. During which, tents have been installed for the passengers to sit and fans have been installed to avoid the heat.

For the convenience of passengers, in the past few days, the railways had taken the initiative to reduce the crowd at Ludhiana station by stopping some trains stopping at Dhandari Kalan station and also closed platform tickets.

Now, the system is being continuously updated to increase the coordination of major stations under Ferozepur division during the festive season. In view of the additional traffic of passengers, the announcement system is being monitored by the officials for the convenience of the common people.

Also, help tests have been conducted at various major stations and platforms to assist passengers. Back– Security arrangements made tight on platforms To avoid any untoward incident during the festive season, GRP and railway department employees have been instructed to be vigilant.

Search operations have been started by forming teams for surprise checking in various trains, along with this, a close watch is also being kept by the local police administration on various platforms. Suspicious passengers coming and going on platforms have been stopped for questioning and thorough examination of their luggage has been started.

Strict instructions have been issued by the top officials of the Railway Department that any passenger travelling in trains during the Diwali festival should not carry firecrackers, explosives or any kind of flammable material with them. Strict action will be taken against passengers travelling with firecrackers or explosives. Preparations have been made by the Railways to take legal action against passengers carrying firecrackers in their bags while going to their villages on the occasion of Diwali.
