Student on his way to take board exam drowns in canal

Barmer: Tragic news has emerged from Barmer district, Rajasthan. A 12th-grade student, who was on his way to the exam center, died in a road accident. The accident occurred around 8 a.m. on Friday near Bor Charanan village, while the student was on his way to the exam center.

The deceased has been identified as 17-year-old Mahendra Kumar, son of Mohanlal, a resident of Dhorimanna Akali village. Board exams began on Friday, and his first exam in English was scheduled for 8:30 a.m. The student, who had left home excitedly to take the exam, met with an accident on the way.

Student’s bike skids at a turn, plunges into canal

According to police, while on his way to the exam center, his bike suddenly skidded at a turn. Losing balance, the bike plunged straight into a nearby canal. Mahendra lost control and drowned in the sudden accident.

About an hour after the incident, passersby saw a body floating in the canal. They immediately informed the police. Upon receiving the information, police from the Dhorimanna police station arrived at the scene and, with the help of divers, pulled the student’s body from the canal.

Doctors declared him dead at the hospital

The body was immediately taken to Dhorimanna Hospital, where doctors declared him dead after examination. Upon receiving the news of the accident, the family was devastated. When the family arrived at the hospital, the atmosphere was filled with grief. It is being reported that Mahendra was a diligent student and was very serious about his exams.

The police have seized the student’s bike, and preliminary investigations suggest the accident occurred due to slipping or a loss of balance. However, the entire matter is being investigated.

Body handed over to family after post-mortem

The police have registered a case based on the family’s report. After the post-mortem by a medical board, the body was handed over to the family. The family performed the last rites in a solemn atmosphere.

This tragic incident has shaken the entire area. The student, who left home that morning to take the exam, never returned.
