Students missing from Boarding school found in Shimla, kidnapper arrested

Students who went missing from a boarding school in Shimla have been found. The police recovered them from Chaithala village in Kotkhai area, 58 km from Shimla. The children were kidnapped by 45-year-old Sumit Sood, who has been arrested by the police.

It is being said that Sumit Sood carried out this kidnapping to get a ransom. It is being said that Sumit Sood lost money in the share market.

Ransom demanded from Sandeep

Let us tell you that the kidnapper Sumit, had made threatening calls to the parents of the children and demanded a ransom from them in exchange for releasing the children. One of the missing children is the son of a politician living in Mohali, Punjab. The second student is the nephew of an independent councilor from Karnal, Haryana. The third student is a resident of Kullu, Himachal.

All three students study in class VI in a boarding school in Shimla. They left school on Saturday afternoon. But did not return till evening. The police were then informed. The police deployed 150 police personnel, drones and cyber teams to track them down.

The three were found locked in a room on the fourth floor of a building in Kotkhai. Masks, ropes and sharp weapons were also found in the room. The kidnappers had made threatening calls to the parents of the students from an international number. Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap said that the activities of the school are also being reviewed.
