    Raped four times: Suicide note on palm, Accused Prashant arrested; shocking details from Maharashtra doctor suicide case

    A suicide note belonging to the doctor who committed suicide at a hotel in Phaltan, Satara, Maharashtra, has been found. It made mention of an MP and his two personal assistants. Police have made their first arrest in the suicide case of a doctor. Prashant Banker, the son of the doctor’s landlord, has been detained. Prashant Banker has been charged with rape and abetment to suicide. The cop involved in the case is still at large.

    It is alleged that these individuals were continuously pressuring her to issue fake fitness certificates for the accused. When she refused, the MP even spoke to her over the phone.

    The doctor committed suicide on October 23rd. The name of Sub-Inspector Gopal Badne was written on her palm. It is alleged that Badne raped her four times in the past five months.

    Badne was also pressuring her to issue fake fitness certificates for the accused. The doctor has also accused her landlord’s son, software engineer Prashant Banker, of mental harassment.

    Case registered for rape and abetment to suicide 

    Police said the female doctor was a resident of Beed district and worked at the government hospital in Phaltan tehsil. A case has been registered against Gopal Badne and Prashant Banker for rape and abetment to suicide.

    Two teams have been formed to search for them. CM Devendra Fadnavis has ordered the Satara SP to suspend the accused sub-inspector.

    The doctor wrote: “Two PAs of the MP came to the hospital.”

    The doctor wrote in his suicide note that two personal assistants of the MP came to the hospital. They pressured him to issue fake fitness certificates for accused in other cases. They also insisted on issuing fitness certificates for those who had not come to the hospital. When he refused to do so, he was arranged to speak with the MP over the phone.

    Relatives claim: Pressure to change the postmortem report

    The doctor’s relative said he was being pressured to change the postmortem report and tamper with the medical reports of the arrested accused. The doctor’s cousin said he had complained to the Satara SP and DSP about the matter, but no action was taken. He wrote in the letter: “Who will be responsible if anything happens to him?”

    Room opened with different key

    SP Doshi stated that the doctor had booked a room in a hotel in Phaltan. When the staff knocked on the door, there was no response. Suspicious, they opened the door with a different key and found her hanging. The body has been sent for a postmortem.
