Sukhu Launches Projects in Haroli, Rules Out OPS Review

Una, April 11: Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today dedicated various projects worth crores of rupees to the public at Haroli in Una. He laid the foundation stone for site development and infrastructure works worth ₹250 crore for the Bulk Drug Project in Polian; laid the foundation stone for a Working Women’s Hostel in Panjuana, to be constructed at a cost of ₹10 crore; and inaugurated the Samarthya Gym, Badminton Hall, and Lawn Tennis Court at Indira Stadium, Una.

The Chief Minister stated that the Bulk Drug Park project is a project of national importance. He directed officials to further accelerate the pace of work on the project. He remarked that the Central Government has disregarded the state’s interests by discontinuing the Revenue Deficit Grant; however, the State Government is continuously striving to steer the state toward a new direction of development by firmly advocating for Himachal’s rights and interests before the Centre. Furthermore, by curtailing MGNREGA, the Central Government has dealt a blow to the interests of the poor.

Haroli set for industrial boost; OPS review ruled out by Sukhu

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri stated that the State Government is working continuously and systematically with the objective of securing a global identity for the Haroli region on the industrial map. In this direction, work on numerous significant development projects is currently underway, which has given fresh momentum to the holistic development of the region. He added that Haroli’s industrial, infrastructural, and social framework is being continuously strengthened, and projects of national significance—such as the Bulk Drug Park—are progressing at a rapid pace. CM Joins Procession at Haroli Festival

CM Sukhu participated in the procession marking the Haroli Festival, a four-day-long celebration. The festival will feature four cultural evenings. Renowned artists from Himachal and Punjab will present their performances during these four ‘Star Nights.’
