Sunil Jakhar Slams Punjab Govt Over DA Dues, Accuses It of Defying HC Orders

New Delhi: BJP leader Sunil Jakhar has strongly criticised the Punjab government over the pending Dearness Allowance (DA) payments to employees and pensioners.

Jakhar alleged that the government is violating the orders of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, which he said amounts to contempt of court. He also accused the Bhagwant Mann-led government of threatening employees instead of releasing their legitimate DA dues.

‘Why Threaten Employees?’

Taking a dig at Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Jakhar questioned the government’s approach towards employees and pensioners. He said that instead of addressing their genuine demands, the government was allegedly trying to intimidate them.

‘End of Arrogance Is Bitter’

Jakhar also used a Punjabi saying to target the Chief Minister, alleging that the government’s actions reflected arrogance. He warned Mann that “the end of arrogance is bitter”, urging the government to respect court orders and release the pending DA to employees and pensioners.
