Supreme Court appoints 5 new advocates as judges of Punjab and Haryana High Court

National Desk: The Supreme Court collegium has appointed 5 new advocates as judges of Punjab and Haryana High Court. Advocates who have been appointed as judges of Punjab and Haryana High Court are Harmeet Singh Grewal, Deepinder Singh Nalwa, Sumeet Goel, Sudeepti Sharma and Kirti Singh.

Earlier in April 2023, CJ of Punjab and Haryana High Court recommended the elevation of the above Advocates as Judges of that High Court. The Chief Ministers and the Governors for the States of Punjab and Haryana have concurred with the recommendation.

The decision was taken by bench comprising CJI DY Chandrachud, Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice Sanjiv Khanna.
