New Delhi: West Bengal Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari’s helicopter made an emergency landing in Kolaghat on Monday after bad weather conditions affected his journey to Keshpur, where he was scheduled to attend a programme commemorating freedom fighter Khudiram Bose.

According to officials, the helicopter had taken off from Dumdum and was flying towards Keshpur when the pilot decided to make a precautionary landing at an open ground in Kolaghat.

The decision was taken as a safety measure due to unfavourable weather conditions while the helicopter was still on its way to the scheduled destination.

Helicopter Lands Safely in Kolaghat

The helicopter landed safely at Kolaghat, and there were no reports of any untoward incident following the emergency landing.

The precautionary landing was carried out by the pilot after assessing the weather conditions along the route. The aircraft was brought down safely at an open ground in Kolaghat.

There was no immediate report of any injury or damage linked to the landing.

Adhikari Continues Journey to Keshpur by Road

After the helicopter landed, Suvendu Adhikari continued his journey to Keshpur by road to attend the scheduled programme.

Adhikari was scheduled to participate in an event commemorating freedom fighter Khudiram Bose and pay tribute to him.

The helicopter’s emergency landing caused a change in Adhikari’s travel plan, but he continued towards the scheduled venue by road.

The incident comes amid unfavourable weather conditions in parts of West Bengal, prompting precautionary measures during travel.
