The Punjab-Haryana High Court has given a jolt to the Punjab Government and banned any new construction work in Kharar. The High Court has issued this stay order on construction work till May 27 due to the lack of a master plan.
According to the information, the High Court passed this interim stay order in the case of 'Omega Infra Estate Private Limited vs. Rahul Tiwari and others' after a delay of 14 years in finalizing the master plan of Kharar, in which serious concerns were expressed over haphazard construction in the absence of a master plan of Kharar.
