Dhaka: Bangladesh and Japan have exchanged formal agreements, with Tokyo pledging to provide $1.063 billion to Dhaka for budget support, railway improvements, and grants, according to Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser’s Press Wing. Of this amount, Japan will allocate $418 million as a Development Policy Loan to support Bangladesh’s economic reforms and climate resilience efforts, while 641 million.
