Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday announced that the long-awaited Guwahati–North Guwahati bridge over the Brahmaputra River will be inaugurated in January 2026, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to dedicate the landmark project to the nation. Speaking at an event at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati, the Chief Minister shared details.
