The Punjab and Haryana High Court has upheld the HPSC’s decision to deny an EWS candidate a General category seat in the Assistant Professor (History) recruitment, ruling that candidates who qualify through relaxed screening standards cannot later claim an unreserved seat based solely on higher final marks.
