Australia fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is targeting a busy run of one-day cricket to maintain his bowling intensity and build towards October’s Test series in South Africa, saying he wants to play as much as possible after making a successful return to Test action against Bangladesh.
The fast bowler flew back to Australia during the hiatus, and since then, he has been training in Brisbane for the upcoming World Test Championship final against South Africa.
On the other hand, Hazlewood is dealing with a hip issue after recovering from the side strain and calf injuries that saw him being ruled out of competitive cricketing action after the Brisbane Test against India in December last year.
The 33-year-old pacer then underwent scans to assess the severity of the injury. Medical scans later confirmed he had strained his right calf, which led the pacer to miss the rest of the series.
Cameron Green and Josh Hazlewood on Friday created history by making the biggest partnership for the 10th wicket for Australia in Test cricket against New Zealand on Friday.
