New Delhi, March 4, 2026 — India and Japan are engaged in discussions to jointly explore and develop rare earth deposits discovered in the western Indian state of Rajasthan, in a strategic move aimed at reducing dependence on China for critical minerals used in advanced technologies. The talks come after the Government of India recently.
