Thrissur MP and Union Minister of State for Tourism Suresh Gopi have been asked by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to immediately proceed to Thrissur in view of the Thrissur Pooram tragedy that has triggered widespread concern and grief. Responding to the Prime Minister’s direction, Suresh Gopi said he is currently en route to the Delhi airport to take the Kochi flight.
