In a significant development ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections, police have arrested a local leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in the South 24 Parganas district for allegedly threatening voters. The accused, identified as Hafijul Molla, is the pradhan of Deuli Gram Panchayat and was taken into custody following complaints and the circulation.
