Talwandi Sabo: Only support of widowed mother and sister, Youth dies of drug addiction

The drug menace continues in Punjab, and the series of deaths due to drug overdose is not stopping. The latest case has come to light from Talwandi Sabo in Bathinda, where a 21-year-old boy, Yash, the only support of a widowed mother and sister in Raman Mandi, fell victim to drugs.

The family has claimed that he died due to drugs. Let us tell you that an elder boy in the family had already died in 2024. The police have registered a case on the statements of the victim’s family and started an investigation.

The victim’s mother and sister said that the elder boy of the family had earlier died of jaundice in 2024 after quitting drugs, and now, the last support, the younger brother, has also died. While the father of the children had also died in the family. Now only the widowed mother and sister are left.

The victim’s family has demanded justice from the police and has demanded strict action against the accused and the arrest of the drug dealers.

Meanwhile, the Raman Mandi police have registered a case against four people on the statement of the victim’s family and started an investigation. DSP Talwandi Sabo Jasjyot Singh said that three people have been arrested, and one is being searched.
