The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a spell of heavy rainfall across the Western Ghat districts of Tamil Nadu, while northern parts of the state are expected to continue experiencing dry weather conditions over the coming days.

Heavy rainfall likely in Western Ghat districts

According to the IMD, isolated heavy rainfall is expected over districts located along the Western Ghats, particularly in southern Tamil Nadu. Areas such as Theni, Dindigul, and Virudhunagar are likely to witness intense showers accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.
