Tamil Nadu tourist loses bag with Cash, documents on Ridge, Shimla Police recover within hours

A tourist from Tamil Nadu, visiting Shimla, lost his bag on the Ridge. The bag contained ₹15,000 in cash and some important documents. Upon receiving the tourist’s information, Shimla police immediately launched a search, recovered the bag, and returned it to the tourist.

According to reports, on February 20, a tourist from Tamil Nadu reported to the police reporting room on Mall Road, Shimla, that his bag had gone missing on the Ridge. It contained ₹15,000 and important documents. Upon receiving the information, a police team from the reporting room immediately arrived in the Ridge area and began searching using nearby CCTV cameras.

Acting swiftly, the police team recovered the missing bag within a few hours and safely returned it to the tourist. Shimla SSP Gaurav Singh stated that the Mall Road and Ridge grounds are major tourist attractions for tourists from both India and abroad, attracting thousands of visitors daily.

Police personnel deployed in the control room remain vigilant and provide all possible assistance to tourists and the general public. Police personnel are performing their duties diligently to maintain law and order.
