Brother-Sister Die Suddenly in Tarn Taran After Eating Momos; Vendor detained

Tarn Taran: A brother and sister died under suspicious circumstances in Tarn Taran. Their health suddenly deteriorated overnight, and the parents took the children to the hospital in the morning, where doctors declared them dead.

According to the family, the children had eaten momos and chapatti on Saturday night. Shortly afterward, they vomited. After a long period of distress, they fell asleep but did not wake up in the morning. The parents had only two children.

Following the parents’ statements, the police detained a street vendor selling momos and began questioning them. The bodies of both children have been deposited in the Civil Hospital mortuary. Police say the exact cause of death will be determined only after the postmortem report is received.

The mother said – the children were completely healthy

According to reports, the incident occurred in DSP Wali Gali in Tarn Taran city. Vishal, 40, and his wife, Neha, 36, who live there, said they had only two children: 6-year-old Aarav and 9-year-old Danika. Both children were perfectly healthy.

Neha said that on Saturday evening, the children insisted on eating momos. Their father, Vishal, brought momos and chapattis for them from a street vendor a short distance from the house. Around 8 p.m., the children ate the momos and chapattis. Afterward, they went to watch TV.

The children were put to sleep after being given medicine, but were found dead in the morning.

According to the children’s mother, around 10 p.m., both children felt unwell. They started vomiting, each of them three or four times. However, it was late at night, and not believing the vomiting to be a serious problem, they didn’t take the children to the hospital. They gave them anti-vomiting medication they already had at home. Afterward, the children fell asleep around 4 a.m.

Neha said, “On Sunday morning, around 8 a.m., I went into Aarav’s room and checked his heartbeat. He had no heartbeat. Then, I checked my daughter Danika’s heartbeat. She was also quiet and not breathing. Both children had died.”

Police said – the street vendor is being questioned

According to the family, the children were immediately taken to the Civil Hospital, where the doctor declared them dead. The police were then informed. Police from the City Police Station arrived to investigate. The police have placed the bodies in the Civil Hospital mortuary.

According to the police, the street vendor who sold the momos has been detained and is being questioned. He says he sold the momos to many people and they ate them. If the momos had caused illness, many people would have been in the hospital. The police are investigating every aspect.
