Harjeet Kaur, mother of accused student Princeraj Singh, claimed that Sandeep had first asked for her son’s number and messaged him on Instagram. She stated that her son was focused on studies and wanted to become a judge. She also questioned why her son was implicated if Sandeep’s engagement had already been fixed elsewhere.

On February 9, at a law college in Tarn Taran, Princeraj Singh allegedly brought a pistol hidden in a blue bag into the classroom. After a brief conversation lasting around 17 seconds, he reportedly shot Sandeep Kaur in the head before turning the gun on himself. Sandeep died on the spot, while Prince later succumbed to his injuries in a hospital in Amritsar.
