New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has begun the process for the Chief Ministerial election in Manipur. The party’s National General Secretary, Tarun Chugh, has been appointed as the central observer to oversee the process of selecting the Legislative Assembly Party leader.

“The BJP Parliamentary Board has appointed Mr. Tarun Chugh, National General Secretary, as the central observer for the election of the Legislative Assembly Party leader in Manipur,” reads a letter from Arun Kumar, BJP National General Secretary and Headquarters Incharge.
Role of the Central Observer
As the central observer, Tarun Chugh will ensure that the election of the BJP Legislative Assembly Party leader in Manipur is conducted smoothly in accordance with the rules of procedure and party guidelines, and that transparency and organizational discipline are maintained.
