Tej Pratap Yadav demands FIR and jail for those, who ‘abused’ PM Modi at RJD event

Patna, Bihar: Tej Pratap Yadav, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son and former Bihar minister, on Sunday strongly condemned the individuals who hurled expletives at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the second time at an RJD public event reportedly attended by his brother Tejashwi Yadav.

Calls for Strict Action and Arrests

Speaking to the media, Tej Pratap demanded that the perpetrators be brought to justice and jailed immediately.

He said an FIR should be filed against anyone who insults a mother and that offenders must face the full force of the law.

Warning of Protest If No Action Taken

Tej Pratap warned that if the accused are not prosecuted and jailed, his party — Janshakti Janata Dal — will launch a protest movement in Mahua.

“If this is not done, my party will launch a movement in Mahua,” he told reporters.

Reaction From Centre

Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai shared a video purportedly showing abusive language being used against the Prime Minister in the presence of Tejashwi Yadav.

Rai cautioned that the people of Bihar and the country were watching and that those responsible would face a strong response.

Condemnation of Abusive Culture at Rallies

Tej Pratap took a broader stance against the “culture” of name-calling at RJD public rallies, calling such behaviour unacceptable. “Abusing any mother is condemnable. A mother is a mother,” he said, urging immediate legal action.

Tej Pratap, who is estranged from the RJD and the Lalu family, reiterated his stance that if strict action is not taken, his party will stage demonstrations — underscoring the political sensitivities ahead of the Assembly polls.
