Telangana: Man Accused in POCSO Case Kills Six, Including Wife and Two Children

Hyderabad: A 35-year-old man allegedly killed six people, including a minor girl who had filed a case against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, her mother and grandmother, before allegedly murdering his own wife and two young sons in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district. The incident took place on Friday night, and the accused is currently absconding. Police have launched a manhunt to trace him.

According to police, the accused had been booked under the POCSO Act earlier this year following a complaint by the minor girl. He was later released on bail. Investigators suspect he was enraged over the criminal case registered against him, though the exact motive is still under investigation.

Three Members of Complainant’s Family Killed First

Police said the accused first went to the residence of the minor girl in the Shabad area of Ranga Reddy district, where he allegedly attacked and killed the teenager, her mother and grandmother.

After the attack, he allegedly travelled to his native village, where he killed his wife, Parvathi Saritha (30), and his two sons, Parikshit (3) and Daivikshit (2). The six murders were allegedly committed within a short span of time at two different locations.

Accused Informed Parents After the Crime

According to investigators, the accused allegedly called his parents after committing the murders and informed them about the incident. His parents then alerted the police, following which officers rushed to both crime scenes.

The bodies have been shifted for post-mortem examination, while forensic teams collected evidence from the two locations. Police have registered cases and are investigating the sequence of events.

Police Continue Search Operation

Senior police officials visited the crime scenes, and multiple police teams have been formed to trace the accused. Officials said further legal action will be initiated once he is arrested.

The incident has sent shockwaves across the district. Police have appealed to the public not to circulate unverified information, stating that the investigation is ongoing.
