Temperatures drop by 5°C in Punjab, Faridkot coldest with minimum temp @ 5.6 Degrees

The weather is changing in Punjab. Cold winds from the mountains are causing temperatures to drop steadily. The average maximum temperature has dropped by 0.5°C in the last 24 hours. Minimum temperatures have been below normal for several days, bringing the state’s minimum temperature to around 5°C.

According to the Meteorological Department, maximum temperatures across the state are still around normal. Mansa was the hottest, recording a temperature of 29.6°C.

The average minimum temperature remained unchanged, but it was 2.5°C below normal. Faridkot is currently the coldest district, recording a minimum temperature of 5.6°C.

The weather is expected to remain dry until November 20th, with no precipitation forecasted.

According to the Meteorological Center, there will be no rain this week. The Meteorological Department has clearly indicated that there is no possibility of any significant rainfall in the state. By November 20th, temperatures are expected to range from 24–26°C in northern and eastern districts and 26–28°C in the rest of Punjab. Overall, maximum temperatures will remain near normal.

Minimum temperatures are expected to range from 6–8°C in northern and southwestern areas and from 8–10°C in other regions. Minimum temperatures are expected to be below normal in most areas, while they are expected to be close to normal in some central and eastern districts. Cold winds are now beginning to be felt, and dry and mild winter conditions are likely to prevail in Punjab for the next week.
