Tenant kills man by slitting his throat, throws body from second floor in Pithampur

Indore: A shocking incident has come to light in Pithampur, an industrial town in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. A tenant allegedly slit the throat of his landlord’s son and threw him from the second floor, resulting in his death on the spot.

The incident occurred late Wednesday night in the Pithampur Sector-1 police station area. The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old 0.73 Akshay Phulware, while the accused is Anil Vishwakarma (33). According to the police, the two were previously friends.

Incident Followed an Argument

Akshay’s younger brother told the police that an argument broke out between Akshay and Anil over some issue. He intervened and separated them, but after some time, Anil picked up a sharp knife, slit Akshay’s throat, and pushed him from the second floor.

Akshay was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Police Launch Manhunt

Pithampur Sector-1 police station in-charge O.P. Ahir said that a large amount of blood was found at the scene. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and a case has been registered against the accused under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including murder.

Several teams have been deployed to apprehend the accused, who has been absconding since the incident.

Akshay ran a grocery store on the ground floor and lived on the first floor with his parents, brother, and sisters, while the accused Anil had been living as a tenant on the second floor of the same building for the past two years.

Police say the exact reason behind the murder is not yet clear as the victim’s family is in deep shock.
