Jammu: In a major crackdown against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, Shopian police have busted an alleged terrorist funding module operating from inside a jail. Ten individuals linked to a suspected network funding terrorist activities have been arrested.

According to a police statement, the module was uncovered during an investigation into suspicious online financial transactions made through various digital payment platforms. Police suspect that the individuals involved in this network have links to terrorists and their associates currently lodged in various jails.

A case has been registered at the Shopian police station under relevant sections of the law. Initial investigations have revealed that the accused were collecting money from the public. This money was then being sent through established financial networks to support the activities of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and its affiliate, The Resistance Front (TRF).
