Three Lanes Closed on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway as Rajasthan Police Search for Missing Child Prince’s Remains

Jaipur – The search for the skeletal remains of four-year-old Tillu, also known as Prince, who went missing six years ago in Dausa district, entered its third consecutive day on Tuesday. Authorities resumed excavation after the accused revealed the likely burial site during interrogation.

Excavation and Technical Survey

Excavation began on Sunday on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, resulting in the closure of three out of five lanes. Police used drones to survey an area of around one km. Sensitive locations were identified using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), and excavation involved JCB machines and heavy excavators, digging about four metres wide and 12 feet deep over an 80-metre stretch.

Continuous Efforts by Authorities

Senior officials including ASP Yogendra Faujdar, SHO Zaheer Abbas, and Tehsildar Rajesh Saini are overseeing the operation. Excavation continues using scientific methods until all identified points are thoroughly examined. Traffic on three lanes remains suspended, with safety barricades in place.

Family Awaits Closure

Prince, a resident of Ramdeva Ki Dhani in Bandikui police limits, was murdered on August 16, 2020. His neighbour and the neighbour’s sister conspired to kill him and bury his body under the expressway. Both accused were arrested about 15 days ago and confessed. Family members and local residents remain at the site, hoping for closure.
