The menace of stray dogs has increased so much in Ludhiana’s Govindgarh Jogian area that it has become difficult for children to even step out of their homes. In a horrific incident on Sunday, a stray dog ​​fatally attacked 3-year-old Chandni while she was playing in the street.

The dog severely scratched the girl’s head and face. The girl, bleeding profusely, was admitted to the Civil Hospital, where she received approximately 35 stitches.

Father at work received a call

The victim’s father, Chandan, said he was at work when he received a tearful call from his wife, who reported that their younger daughter, Chandni, had been severely bitten by a dog.

According to Chandan, the children were playing in the street outside the house when suddenly a dog attacked Chandni, knocked her to the ground, and began biting her head and face. By the time people arrived after hearing her screams, the girl was already bleeding.

Condition critical, 35 stitches applied on wounds

According to doctors at the Civil Hospital, the girl’s condition was extremely critical. The dogs had attacked her so brutally that flesh was hanging loose from many parts of her body. Doctors said the wounds were so deep that stitches wouldn’t have been difficult, but due to the family’s insistence and the girl’s critical condition, approximately 35 stitches were applied. The girl is currently undergoing treatment, but she remains in shock.
