TMC claims BJP workers used bulldozer to vandalise office, accuses forces of inaction

‘Change Came with Bulldozers’—TMC’s Sarcasm
The TMC, taking aim at the BJP’s “change” slogan, said that change came in the form of bulldozers and violence. The party alleged that supporters openly indulged in violence and termed it “hooliganism.”

Questions Also Raised on Central Forces
The TMC alleged that Narendra Modi and Amit Shah had given free rein to their workers. It was also claimed that central forces were instructed not to intervene, which worsened the situation.

Mahua Moitra also expressed concern
TMC leader Mahua Moitra described the incident as “hooliganism” and “lumpen violence,” saying that there is an atmosphere of tension everywhere in the state. She warned that if this trend continues, the situation could worsen.

Tensions rise after election results
In the recent assembly elections, the BJP won a landslide victory with 207 out of 294 seats, while the TMC was reduced to 80 seats. Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee has refused to resign as Chief Minister despite losing her seat.
