Tractor March against India-US Trade Deal in Rajpura on March 23

A meeting of the Bharatiya Kisan Mazdoor Union was held under the chairmanship of State President Nirmal Singh Sekhanmajra, attended as a special guest by the Union’s National President, Manjit Singh Ghumana.

During the meeting, it was decided that, in protest against the India-US trade agreement, a massive tractor march would be organized in Rajpura on March 23—the martyrdom day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev—with the aim of democratically pressuring the government to revoke the agreement.

Addressing the gathering, Manjit Singh Ghumana stated that this agreement amounts to inviting death for small farmers, laborers, and small-scale traders. He announced that the tractor march against this agreement on March 23 would commence at the New Grain Market, traverse through various markets in Rajpura, and conclude at Gagan Chowk.

On this occasion, the organization’s State President, Nirmal Singh Sekhanmajra, appealed to various office-bearers of the organization to begin visiting villages immediately to mobilize farmers for this tractor march.

Also present at the event were Tajinder Singh Mohi, Gurdeep Singh, Lakha Singh Saunti, Gurdev Singh, Balkar Singh, Nitin Rekhi, Gurwinder Singh Kharoli, Gurmeet Singh Akbarpur, Surinder Singh Saidkheri, Kamaljit Singh Lahila, Billa Singh Jangpura, Avtar Singh, Atma Singh, Satwinder Singh, Balvir Singh Bittu, and Manjit Singh.
