Tragedy in Ferozepur: Family of Four Found Dead at Home; Murder-Suicide Suspected

Firozpur: A sensation spread in Harman Nagar on Thursday morning when the bodies of four family members—a husband, wife, and their two minor daughters—were found in their home under suspicious circumstances. Preliminary investigations have led police to suspect the man first killed his wife and children and then shot himself. However, officials are investigating all aspects of the case.

The deceased have been identified as Amandeep Singh (42), his wife Jasveer Kaur (40), and daughters Manveer Kaur (10) and Parmeet Kaur (6). Amandeep was a builder and financier and had recently opened a salon in the city, which was about to be inaugurated soon. According to neighbors, the family was calm and there were no signs of any family disputes.

A painful scene found behind closed doors

The incident came to light when the housekeeper arrived in the morning and found the main door locked from inside. After calling out several times, she received no response, alerting neighbors and the tenant living on the first floor. Upon breaking down the door, the bodies of the four men were found lying inside, covered in blood. The scene caused panic in the entire area, and a crowd gathered.

Investigation underway, forensic team on scene

Upon receiving information about the incident, senior police officers, including SSP Bhupinder Singh, arrived at the scene. The SSP stated that a thorough investigation is underway. Footage from nearby CCTV cameras is being examined, and statements from neighbors and family members have been recorded. A forensic team has also been called in to conduct a scientific investigation of the scene.

Police stated that the actual cause of death and the full picture of the events will emerge only after the post-mortem report and forensic examination. The deaths of the entire family, including two innocent girls, have cast a pall of gloom over the area, and everyone is anxious to know the reason behind this tragic incident.
