Tragedy hits on first night of new year in Rohtak, 3 people died of suffocation

Three Nepali youths who were sleeping near the fireplace in the farmhouse of a property dealer located on Kacha Chamaria Road died of suffocation. When the family members of the property dealer arrived at the office in the afternoon on Thursday, they found the door to the room locked from the inside.

After this, the police were informed. People saw the bodies of the three lying in the room. The police informed the relatives of the deceased about the incident. The three bodies have been kept at the PGI morgue for postmortem.

According to the police, 22-year-old Kamal, 21-year-old Raj, and 24-year-old Santosh, all residents of Nepal, worked as cooks in homes in different parts of the city. Out of them, Kamal used to cook at the Army farmhouse of Narendra, a resident of Sector-34 near the Kacha Chamaria Road cracker factory.

The New Year celebrations at the Army farmhouse continued till late at night. Narendra was partying with his friends on New Year’s Eve and, after finishing the party, he went home. At the same time, Narendra’s friends also went to their respective homes. After that, only three Nepali youths were at the farm.

Regarding the matter, Ramesh Kumar, in charge of the city police station, said that they had received information about the death of three people. After the information, the police reached the spot, took the bodies into custody, and started an investigation. The postmortem of the three bodies will be done on Friday.
