Tragic Accident in Amritsar: Petrol Tanker Hits Car, Two Youths Burnt Alive

Jandiala: Two youths were burnt alive in Amritsar today i.e. on Wednesday. The incident took place on the Amritsar-Jalandhar highway in Jandiala. A Hindustan Petroleum tanker lost control after its tyre burst and collided with a car. After the collision, the car caught fire, due to which two youths riding in it were severely burnt.

An eyewitness from Jandiala, Davinder Singh, said that the petrol tanker was coming from Jalandhar towards Amritsar. Suddenly the tanker’s tyre burst on the highway. Due to this, the truck went out of control and moved to the other side where it collided with a car coming from Amritsar. After the collision, the car hit the railing and caught fire.

The truck was carrying petrol from Jalandhar 

DSP Jandiala has confirmed the incident. He said that the truck of Hundal Petrol Pump Jandiala was carrying petrol from Jalandhar. Due to a tyre burst, it collided with a car parked on the bridge. Due to this collision, the car climbed onto the railing and caught fire.

According to the police, the truck driver fled from the spot after the accident. Both the youths in the car were badly burnt and according to the police, they probably died on the spot. At present, the police have called a crane and are taking the youths out and the fire has been brought under control. The tanker was full of petrol but luckily it did not explode.
