Driver Burnt Alive as Two Trucks Collide and Catch Fire; Two Others Escape

A fire broke out in Bikaner after two trucks collided. A driver trapped in the cabin died of burns alive. The fire was so fierce that he did not even get a chance to get out. At the same time, both trucks were burnt to ashes. The driver has not been identified.

The accident took place around 1 am on Sunday in the Jamsar police station area on the Bikaner-Lunkaransar National Highway (NH-62).

Police and fire brigade reached the spot as soon as the information was received.

ASI Ramkesh Meena said – A collision of two trucks was reported at around one o’clock on Monday night. As soon as the information was received, the police, fire brigade and rescue team reached the spot. Both the trucks were on fire, following which relief and rescue operations were launched and efforts were made to douse the fire.

A driver was burnt alive in the truck, two injured were taken to the hospital.

ASI said – In the accident, a truck driver was trapped in the cabin and died alive due to fire.

The driver of the other truck, Dinesh Bishnoi, a resident of Jaisinghdesar Magra, was seriously injured, while another youth, who could not be identified, was also injured. The injured were first rushed to the government hospital in Lunkaransar. Later, Dinesh Bishnoi and the other injured were referred to PBM Hospital.

The fire brigade team tried to extinguish the fire for a long time. One truck was completely destroyed in the accident, while some part of the other truck was saved from the fire. The deceased driver could not be identified, as all the documents that were with him were also burnt in the fire.

The police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident. Traffic on the national highway was affected for some time after the accident. Traffic was restored after the fire was brought under control and damaged vehicles were removed. At present, the police are investigating the cause of the accident.
