Two Arrested In Amritsar With Hand Grenade; Foreign Links Suspected, Security Agencies On Alert

Amritsar Rural Police have arrested 2 accused during a joint operation with a central agency, who are reported to be connected with handlers based across the border. During the operation, the police also recovered two hand grenades from the possession of the accused. The DGP stated that a zero-tolerance policy will be adopted against terrorism and crime.

According to the police, initial investigations revealed that both accused were in contact with foreign handlers and were operating under their instructions. Security agencies fear that their activities could be part of a conspiracy to affect peace and law and order in Punjab.
