Two Assailants open fire at closed Dhaba in Khanna; Police Scrutinize CCTV Footage

In Khanna, two unidentified youths unleashed panic in the area by opening fire in broad daylight, subsequently fleeing the scene. According to reports, the incident took place near a dhaba (roadside eatery) located on DT Road.

Fortunately, the firing resulted in no loss of life or property; however, it has created an atmosphere of fear and insecurity within the locality.

An eyewitness present at the scene stated that the attackers were two young men. One youth stood at a short distance, while the other fired several rounds, targeting the now-closed ‘Prem Dhaba.’ The assailants fired bullets at the dhaba’s shutter and the surrounding area before making their escape. The incident caused a great commotion in the locality.

Upon receiving the information, the police immediately arrived at the scene and have initiated an investigation. Footage from nearby CCTV cameras is being scrutinised to identify the culprits and ensure their swift arrest.

At present, the motive behind the firing remains unclear; however, this incident has once again cast serious doubts on the state’s law and order situation.
