Two killed after stabbing attack in London

London: A stabbing attack at a business premises on Long Lane resulted in the deaths of two men and injuries to two others, according to local media reports.

The Metropolitan Police responded to reports of multiple assaults around 1:00 p.m. on Monday, with emergency services quickly arriving at the scene. Paramedics treated four individuals for stab wounds.

A 58-year-old man died at the scene, and a 27-year-old later passed away in the hospital. Two other men, both in their 30s, were injured—one of whom is in critical condition. The man in critical condition has been taken into custody in connection with the stabbing incident. Police have confirmed that the incident is not believed to be linked to terrorism.

The other injured man remains hospitalized with injuries that are not considered life-threatening or life-changing. The London Ambulance Service spokesperson stated that a team including ambulance crews, advanced paramedics, incident response officers, and tactical response unit paramedics were dispatched to the scene. They treated four people on-site, with three taken to major trauma centers as a priority. Despite their efforts, one individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Chief Superintendent Emma Bond, leading the investigation, indicated that authorities are still in the early stages of understanding the full circumstances. She reassured the public that there is no further risk related to terrorism and confirmed that police presence will remain high in the area for the rest of the day. She urged anyone with information to contact officers or the police via other means.
