Two people, including a newlywed woman, killed in a school bus collision in Yamunanagar

A speeding school bus hit three people riding a bike in Yamunanagar on Tuesday morning. The newlyweds, Khushboo and her sister-in-law, Pooja, were killed in the accident, while Khushboo’s husband, Shiv Kumar, was seriously injured. The three were on their way to a temple to offer prayers.

Khushboo’s wedding took place 13 days ago

Khushboo was married to Shiv Kumar on April 29th. Shiv Kumar works as a delivery boy. Pooja was a relative of Shiv Kumar and had been staying at his house since their wedding. The three were on their way to the Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple on Tuesday morning.

School bus hits from behind

The accident occurred near Manakpur Industry on the Chhachhrauli-Paonta Sahib Road. It is reported that the speeding school bus hit the bike from behind. Upon impact, the bike fell onto the road, and both girls were hit by the bus. Khushboo was struck by the bus wheel, killing her instantly. Pooja also succumbed to her injuries.

15 children were on board the bus, driver detained

Around 15 children were on board the school bus at the time of the accident. Chaos ensued at the scene. Locals rushed the injured Shiv Kumar to the hospital. Police seized the bus and detained the driver.

Family alleges driver was drunk

Shiv Kumar’s father alleged that the bus driver was drunk. He said that if the bus had gone out of control and overturned, a major accident could have occurred. The family has demanded strict action against the accused driver.
